What can change after deployment, and who can change it.

Drop Protocol has no owner and no admin. The contracts are not upgradeable.

What is fixed

ItemFixed whenWhy
Token deployersThe launchpad is deployedThe constructor sets them. No function adds or removes one.
DropHookThe launchpad is deployedThe launchpad deploys it and stores it as immutable.
Token supplyThe token is launchedThe token has no mint or burn. The B-20 supply cap equals the supply.
Name, symbol, URIThe token is launchedThe token has no admin.
LiquidityThe token is launchedDropHook blocks all liquidity changes except fee collection.
Partner share and LP feeThe partner is registeredNo function changes them.
Partner of a dropThe token is launchedNo function changes it.

What can change

Only fee recipients can change. Only the current recipient can make the change:

  • The creator fee recipient of a drop can call setCreatorFeeRecipient.
  • The fee recipient of a partner can call setPartnerFeeRecipient.

Credits that are already collected stay with the old recipient.

What the hook enforces

DropHook is the hook of every launch pool:

  • Only the launchpad can initialize a pool with DropHook. Nobody can make a fake Drop pool with this hook.
  • Only the launchpad can add liquidity, and it does so only at launch. So each pool has exactly one position.
  • Nobody can remove liquidity. The hook allows only zero-liquidity changes, which collect fees.
  • The hook does not change swap amounts. It only collects fees and emits DropSwap.

What to check as a user

The protocol does not check these, so check them yourself:

  • The partner's terms. Anyone can register a partner with an LP fee of up to 5% and a share of up to 100%. Read partners(partnerId) for a token's partner.
  • The quote. A pool can use any ERC-20 as the quote. Check that it is the asset you expect.
  • The pool. A token can also trade in pools that other people make, outside the protocol. Only pools with DropHook as the hook are Drop pools.
